Morocco

During a semester abroad, my friend and I went on a 5 day tour in Morocco. The journey started in Marrakesh where we enjoyed the colorful souks, tried delicious local food, and took in the beautiful architecture and mosques.

We road-tripped in a van with 12 others through the grand Atlas Mountains and Ait Benhaddou (Game of Thrones filming site) toward the Sahara Desert where we spent the night riding camels, sand boarding, eating a family-style dinner with 100 strangers, and staying up way too late to soak in the best desert party of anyone’s dreams. It was full of traditional singing, dancing, a campfire, drum lessons, and games of limbo. The late night was met with a 5am wake up call to watch the sunrise over the sand dunes. It was a trip of a lifetime.
