Ruaha National Park, Tanzania
Have you ever been camping in the middle of a game reserve where the “norm” was falling asleep to lions breathing outside your tent, and waking up to fruit hitting your banda’s roof because elephants are trying to eat their breakfast? Now there’s a question I never thought I’d answer yes to.
As part of a 5 week service-learning experience in Tanzania, our small group got the opportunity to go on a weekend safari in Ruaha National Park. We glamped in banda’s, went on 3 game drives where we saw just about every animal possible, and ate dinner in the middle of the park underneath the most beautiful and clear night sky.
